Would you force your children to do stuff?

    Knee-high boots

I think it depends on the boot and the person. You may be able to pull them off with skirts/dresses if you're skinny enough. But I have seen so many people get that look wrong.

Would you force your children to do stuff?

I was enlisted to clean the house, cook, hang out/bring in washing, and make cups/pots of tea and coffee. Oh yeah, and I was also made a part of the renovation team when Mum did up old houses.

There may be a clash of obligations; the obligation to provide the best defense possible (which is upholding the values of the legal system), and the obligation to uphold the values of the society. I would probably agree that it should be their primary goal to uphold the values of the legal...

Read the novella it's based on. I thought this thread would be like... using your children as slaves sort of thing. I am disappointed.

    No Money in Law !?

How did a thread on Law turn into a battle between Arts and Science? If nothing else, it shows that you can stick with something for 5-6 years. Those things may...

Poor people had better access to medical treatment on a free market

Whatever, man. I'm entitled to my opinion. I don't know what hospitals you hang around, but every experience I've had with public health care makes me glad I have private health care.

Poor people had better access to medical treatment on a free market

I wasn't aware comparison was needed. My statement didn't even mean that I thought it was particularly bad. I just said it wasn't 'good'. It takes an entire day in emergency to get an x-ray for a broken leg. It takes over a week for the results of a brain tumour biopsy to come through. A...

Poor people had better access to medical treatment on a free market

Say, what if everyone can access it but are virtually guaranteed death on admission into hospital? But you're right. Quality doesn't matter.
