Persuasive means legally not binding, but the court might take it into account when judging; e.g. supreme court of nsw looks at a decision previously made by supreme court of victoria, not legally binding but they might wanna follow what they ended up...

Your current subjects scale well with the exception of ancient, and none scale horrible. Senior Science does not scale well, yes, but doing well in that would be better than being near bottom in chem
