I doubt it....50% is a Band 1...below the minimum required standard....they scale well, but only if you're above the average (usually around 65 -70%) do they scale extremely well. Most people in the state will be getting around 70% in their respective subjects and you have to remember than Chem...

What do you guys think would be a sufficient raw mark to attain a Band 6 in Chem after scaling and what not. Also considering I'm coming first... Discuss

Ranked top 5 in all ur subjects and probably be getting high 5's low 6's in the externals I'd say. Your subjects scale fairly badly so the better you can do the safer you'll be. Try and keep ur ranks high and then work on getting Band 6's in as many subjects as u can

Keep whichever one you enjoy the most. But if you'd like my advice I would reccomend keeping MX1. I've found it extremely useful for 2unit and you find that as the year progresses you get much better at the subject. Don't be surprised by what appear to be craptastic marks. The school wont scale...

Fairly sure it's you aligned mark....the average of ur exam mark and assessment mark after scaling...though I could be wrong

Stress/exams has never disturbed my sleep.... Been struggling to get to sleep over the holidays but I think that's because I'm not used to getting up so late...8 compared to 6 during school time Thursday night I think I went to bed around 10 and fell asleep about 11....I woke up a little early...

There really has to be more information. Maybe if they gave us one of the factors, or the roots....or something. But there really isn't enough information to factorise that, even at an Ext maths level...and this is a school certificate quesiton :confused:
