I am actually quite pissed off about my marks for DT (ok i'll stop whinging coz i got a band 6).. External 85/100 Assesement 96/100 HSC Mark 91 Band6 But like according to those results I must of stuffed either my MDP or Exam big time... meh.. runs off to cry

Just to tide you over I suggest you a least consider outsourcing for the production of the project to an outside company and focus on making the design... Anything big is possible, just put the effort into it (Hence something bigger requires more effort). Make sure (and Double make sure!)...
