    we used to have 16 full lane, 4 express, 2 smokeshop. Now we have 12 full, 3 express, 2 smokeshop and 5 self-serve. Works out to be the same (22 tills) but now we need all lanes manned on Thurs nights, Saturdays & Sundays 9-4... and it's not even Christmas yet... :S Last Saturday a customer...

    I noticed the SCOs @ Big W have a little attendant station at the exit where the attendant can stand and see what's going on all the other SCOs at once... nifty! I guess they don't bother putting that in at Woolies cuz they think Big W is more high risk items... bleh!

    You only need to do a tender swap if it's credit, otherwise you can just do a cash purchase, so if you're waiting for a supervisor to come fix it up just ask if it's savings.... At least Woolworths doesn't make you put in for till shortages anymore....
