Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

Fair points though Locky/Graney. Conscription in the sense of the sort through the Vietnam War wouldn't provide enough benefit to the country to warrant it's expense. An idea that has lost its relevance in today's society.

Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

It's not a case of who i'm worried about, I'm more focusing on who I believe the country can benefit greatest from. Thinking about this side topic more and more, in terms of addressing youth unemployment, I would shift focus to implement more of a 'Boot Camp' Program run over a period of 12...

Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

:spzz: No dude, no it doesn't have anything to do with the original idea I proposed. Unless you want to argue that finding a solution to youth unemployment is simple, which is what I was arguing against, then drop the crusade. I get what you are saying, although it doesn't change my argument...

Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

Does that really detract from the point that I am making in regards to a fix for youth unemployment? You can omit that line from my response and it doesn't change my point. My point was that there's no solution in cutting funding and treating the issue as a simple fix; because it's not.

Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

No, the solution isn't that simple. I'd be betting that the "something to do" would be sourcing the income they need from crime. Secondly, the majority of parents of those that are highly represented in youth unemployment figures aren't exactly in a position to support their children, let alone...

Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

I hardly think it's creating massive problems if everybody realises that it is something that is required, and has been part of society for decades now. They aren't working in slave camps here, a bit of service in Police, Public Defence etc. Granted, I accept that there could be the possibility...

Should conscription be re-introduced in 21st Century Australia?

I can't see Singapore having any problems with their National Service that's been in place for over 40 years and draws from the system that the Swiss use. A basic outline of the system: - 2 years of National Service upon reaching the age of 18. - Extensive training and health/fitness checks -...

I'd take the juicebox without complaints, tbh. They are well underrated. Emily, I downloaded Sonic 2 & 3 also, so I explore stuff with tail's help. Also, I got to level 4.

Emily could be painfully insecure. She could have "emotional baggage" from this. She could have a perverse notion of love and affection as a result. But then again, she could not. She could put it down to her father being an dropkick, look for role models in her life to offer her guidance and...

Awesome weird. Embrace the inner gamer in you. I would totally be playing xbox right now, rather than going to anybody's house if I were bored. But i'm a boy. I'm a real boy!!!! /pinocchio.

Chivalrous: Being attentive to women like an ideal knight. Don't worry man, I can see the true knight in you. As all strapping, successful knights should. I don't understand what you mean by consoling people privately if the issues of stereotypes get in the way of their life? Wouldn't you...

Good luck with your quest bro. Relationships grow with your experiences. You learn stuff. Sometimes they work, other times they don't. I'd hate to put myself under such pressure of 'having a relationship for the sole purpose of leading into marriage', with only having had 2 past relationships...

    UBS Cadetship 2010

Hahaha, he's certainly not that stupid. The more knowledge you have compared to him/others, the greater advantage you hold. Usually the case anyway, unless you recite your answers as if you were reading from a piece of paper, which is what recruiters can easily pick up on.
