I hardly think it's a waste of time, given the amount of money she'll earn from it. Papers yesterday said she stands to be worth a couple of million, from the book she'll inevitably write, interviews etc. But you have better things to do. Clearly.

My friend uses this dropbox thing, which saves a copy of your shit onto a file on the internet, so even if all your crap gets stolen or blows up or whatever, it's still there. PS- did you actually get robbed or is it an excuse?

And there are loads of internet safety things for kids already available to parents. Even basic IE has parental control options that moderate the content children can access.
