.... because there's more to uni than just a 'good' uni? It's for the experience dude. And why do you assume their unis are much better? It's common knowledge their top institutions are, but not everyone can get in.

Did they give you a reason as to why doing a language at uni is a waste of time? Because like... I don't see the logic in it being a waste of time. Transferring from BEc to BCom is quite common, as the first year core subjects are identical and thus you won't 'waste' time doing any subjects...

Yeah I just meant she could do it later on if she wants an artifically high WAM for her first year to transfer. But tbh if people can't get a solid pass for QMA they don't deserve to be doing Commerce (I used to hear people say this and grind my teeth, but it's true really...).

Suck it up, a pass isn't too bad. You could even just not do QMA/B in your first year if you are going for a transfer (I'm guessing econ to comm or something?).

Well that's almost half true. All my subjects say you are expected to study at least 10 hours a week (per subject), lol. I wonder if anyone actually does... (as in, during a 'normal week', ie: not before a midsem/final).

QMA isn't hard if you keep up. I found partial derivs easy and I only did 2U. I actually found lagrange as a whole a fairly "ok" process, but I had trouble with a lot of other stuff in the subject. It's not hard to pass at all though.
