What age did you get your first job?

Same. It was stupid because people would call up and get cranky that the person they wanted wasn't in. This was over the Christmas holidays. God forbid they take a week off and spend some time with their family. But it was also good because Dad worked upstairs and was the manager of the...

    Movies in 3D

Avatar was specifically designed to be in 3D. Things aren't supposed to fly out at you, unless you're watching one of those shitty 3D movies at Movie World. There was more depth to it, which was especially awesome with those big, sweeping shots. I'd highly recommend it in 3D, just to enhance the...

    ITT: FML I hate uni.

E-portfolio length- ~4500 words Hard-copy word limit - 2000 words. So basically all the work done for the e-folio was pointless because I have to rewrite it and cut half of it out for the hard copy.

    Mandatory Internet Censorship in Australia

I think they did a phone poll. I suppose I just think people don't want the filter because I know internet people. The people who actually use the internet don't want it.

    Gender inequality

Yeah most people think they're underpaid. Teaching is difficult, there's no doubt about that, but you have the potential to earn a very decent wage, especially considering the hours you work and the holidays you get. AND with the introduction of exec wages for 'expert' teachers. You can earn...

    Gender inequality

I thought the deal was that women tend to do fine in uni, they're just as represented in grad positions as men. BUT once they get to their late 20s- early 30s, they start taking time off to have children. This is at the most critical point in their career, so the men go up the ladder and the...

    A moral dilemma

Fair enough, shit costs money and you've gotta make a living. But maybe offer patients a payment plan, especially since the man did offer to pay half now and make up the rest later. I would steal it, because I believe life should be protected over personal property.

    Pets

I have a lorikeet. He can talk and he rolls over and is just generally pretty cute. But he lives with my parents. Sort of nice, because he can be pretty loud and obnoxious so I don't have to see him all the time.
