i vaguely looked over the school ranks this year. two north coast schools popped out. Xavier Catholic College, Lennox Heads - mid 90s Byron High - about 115 the dux of our school got 98.xx and was doing cosmology. the regional area seems fine, to me.

lots of people travel interstate to brisbane/gold coast universities due to the lack of university options in north coast new south wales.

my bad. i didnt research it. and given that im not planning to do med, ive only been looking at lower equivalents.

the job of the UAC is to rank you based on your performance in relation to the rest of the students in the state. they dont hand out ranks on a whim.:read:

they have an OP rank from 1 to 25. 1 = approx 98-100UAI or something like that. but the assessment system is very much internal, and there is a literacy/numeracy test thing by which the marks are graded so as to gauge the standards by which each school assesses its students. the end result...
