I do. I think the need to strive for a balance between different groups can often leave us with situations that are undesirable for either party and leave both parties worse off than they would have been if one conceeded more ground. I think this would be especially true of economic decisions.

What they're speaking of is no more a 'being' than the universe its self is, it has no personality from my reading.

But that's my fear. I worry that perhaps people evoking pantheistic gods are merely doing so as a way to shield their true beliefs, else I cannot completely understand the need to call it a god at all.

Oh they definately are, Ive seen real studies into this. On one hand you've got the 'let's go for the underdog' aspect and on the other it seems people like to change their views to be more in-line with the majority as we like to think people agree with us.
