    ECOS2002 Intermediate Macro

Can't really be bothered to answer your questions to the fullest but 1) Typical of macroeconomics, there's a shitload of multiple choice questions (mid sem all MC, final 60% MC) so you're not really challenged too much 2) The textbook has an online component with a crapload of questions, short...

    Summer Holidays Chatter Thread 09-10

You know, you're right, and I'm not quite sure what the fuck I'm thinking. I did work from 7am - 10pm though so I feel like shit and my brain is jelly. Either way I'm surprised at the Green result, I thought more fuckheads would've voted for Christian Islamophobe Party - and it turns out they...

Labor candidates get little if any votes in Bradfield elections - Bradfieldians vote for Greens more than they do Labor, so in a two party preferred runoff, it's Greens, not Labor.

Kokodamonkey: Dowling barely got any votes. Your campaigning is lackluster. Peeble only got like 5 (estimate). Fletcher wins 68-32 vs Gemmel two party preferred (massive shift to Greens..)

Yes. You don't even want to know what the punishment is if you don't vote.

USYD bachelor of Arts political, economic and social science

Given that it's replacing B. Economic and Social Sciences which had a UAI of somewhere between 91-94 it could be similar. However the name might dissuade or even persuade potential applicants to enrol in it, so it might chance. Unlikely, though.

Help! Major in Economics or Political Economy?

Why not major in both? If you're under the impression that a ECON major is more vocational than an ECOP major you'd be wrong. If you're wanting to enter a Government graduate program they'd both be as valuable as each other, really. If you want a career in 'economics' you need to have a solid...

    Introductory macroeconomics UOS

HSC Maths is more then adequate. The maths really isn't too complicated at all. The assignment load is also quite light; 1 midterm, 1 'economic report' (~1000 word essay if I recall), 1 final exam. Easy.

Did GOVT1202 last year with Susan Park. I thought she was a great lecturer. Not fantastic but way more then sufficient.

    Honuors in Economics, Second chance?

If you pass a unit you can't do it again. However, if you maintain a distinction average in second year ECOS subjects you may be admitted to the Honours stream. You could also try emailing Diane (the Honours coordinator) and pleading your case.
