My sister applied for ruse this year and got in for 2020. Ruse is accepting a class now because they opened an extra class (for year 9 that is, not sure about other grades).

Depends on the school tbh. I know James Ruse is offering more places because they expanded the number of rooms and teaching facilities.

Tbh im not sure, but submit ur prelim marks into an atar calculator online (e.g. talent 100) and if u scroll down, there shud be a graph indicating how well a subject scales.

I reckon it does. My sister is currently in Year 8 and got into Ruse. BUT I think it was highly attributed to her current school (North Sydney Girls) AND because she got A's in all her subjects. But there's hope as my sister did the interview with the principal and quite a few students got in...
