In my Information Systems degree, I'm required to do 24 UOC's worth of free electives from any department . Does anyone know any relatively easy essay-based electives people generally pick?
IT/IS graduates, what are you doing now and how long did it take you to find your first IT role?
I've heard from a number of my friends that graduated with a UNSW Information Systems degree that they're really struggling to find a job in the IT industry and are forced to work in...
What kind of WAM would i need to be competitive for a transfer from UNSW Information Systems to UTS Law?
My ATAR was 85, so should i apply directly through the transfer program or through uac?
Any help would be appreciated!
Hi,
Does any ex-students know what the average UNSW graduates (specifically in the IT industry) need to have as a WAM to be competitive for most jobs? Is it true that a credit WAM is considered shit?
Can anyone who's done INFS1609 give some opinions on the subject in general? Any lecturers/tutors to watch out for? Is it particularly hard/easy? Is the workload heavy?
Which of the two infamous WAM destroyers is harder (if im an english oriented person)? I should probably mention that I'm trying to transfer into another course but I have to do one of these this sem, does that mean my WAM is dead
Does anyone else have any long (3-5 hr) breaks between lectures? What do you guys do with all the free time (apart from studying)? Had to make a last minute change to my timetable and now it's completely fucked with 5 hour breaks between lectures :(
Does anyone know how to fix the "pending enrollment" thing that keeps popping up whenever I try to finalize my enrollment for ACCT1551? It keeps saying that "requirements have not been met to enroll in the specific class" but I'm pretty sure I've chosen the correct amount of UOCs
Since there're only 4 electives to choose from in BIS, namely ACCT1511, ECON1203, ECON1101, and MATH1041, what are some WAM boosters in these subjects? And whats the best combination in terms of difficulty if one had to choose one between ACCT1511, ECON1203 and one between MATH1041 as well as...
In the "assumed knowledge" section of the UAC handbook it says that Chemistry was one of the prequisites for this course, but I haven't done any Chemistry in year 11 and 12. Should I invest some money into a bridging course? Are there any alternatives to bridging courses?
Cheers
Hi, if I wanted to transfer into UNSW Comm/Advanced science second year, would it be easier for me to use UTS Medical Science (which has an ATAR requirement of 88.0) or UNSW Science international (which has an ATAR requirement of 89) as a stepping stone into transferring?
Any help would be...
Hi guys,
So I just finished my HSC with an ATAR of 84.90, but my first preference has an ATAR requirement of 90.00 (based on last year's cut-offs, the course is BScience and Business at UNSW) and I have enough bonuses with the HSC Plus scheme for 5 points. So since I'm 0.1 off the required...
I was told that you had to supply a doctors certificate if you were away a week prior to trials assessment week. Is this true? I've been jigging abit of school this week to study by myself and do past papers and next week is my trials :S if that rule is actually legitimate what's the maximum...
School rank: 33
Physics: 82/90
Economics:45/72
English Adv.: 90/150 (used to be top 10 but i can probably get to top 60 by the end of the year)
Maths 2U: 60/90
Maths 3U: 70/130
Software design: 8/15
How did you guys study Maths 3U/4U on a normal day(excluding studying for exams)?
And how do you be efficient when you study? People on BoS always stress the importance of efficiency (i.e. sometimes 1 hr worth of actual work is better than 4 hours worth of half-assed procrastination etc etc)...
I've been going well in some of my subjects but my Physics teacher doesn't teach jack sh!t and just goes off topic every class. Even if I somehow get 85% for Preliminiary, I'm only going to JUST scrap past 50%... does this mean I have to repeat?
Does anyone know the threshold for the "elite performer" category in the UTS/UNSW/USYD bonus ATAR scheme? It's not really specified on the site.
Does performing in the Opera House count?
