Well he claimed to be sick, and somehow got a "doctor" of some sort to write him a medical certificate, and now that he hasn't sat the exam and has got a "legitimate" excuse, he gets to keep his high ranks whih he got from the past assessment tasks. I hate people like that, HATE with a...

    Truongs Maths Tutoring, any comments?

Re: Truong's tutoring, any comments? Well, sir doesn't base it purely on the marks that you get in the entrance exams. He bases his decision on the manners, character and the respect that that particular student has. As long as he sees that you'll try hard and aren't one of those "I don't give...

    Maths help...Parametric Parabola

I think there's a thread just for Mathematics, but anyway, here's what I think is the solution. Since it's perpendicular, you have to play around with the gradients. So... x^2=4ay y=x^2/4a dy/dx=x/2a therefore the gradient of tangent at T = t, so gradient of normal at T = -1/t Gradient of PQ =...

    Truongs Maths Tutoring, any comments?

Re: Truong's tutoring, any comments? Well, like iSplicer and the-derivative said, Truong's methods work and is the fastest way of getting to the solution; so why would you need to be creative and think of another method when there's one being presented right in front of you? And this "best"...

    11 or 13 units?

Yeah. But unfortunately, the curriculum coordinator won't let us have 11 as well now, our marks are "too high" for us to drop that subject.

    11 or 13 units?

Well thanks for the advice guys. I've made up my mind - Decided to drop physics. Save my 2 extra units for study; hopefully. Free myself from some stress and study which would probably not even count towards my UAI anyway.

    11 or 13 units?

Yeah, I guess, but it would be good to get 2 units load of work off your shoulders during exam periods or whatever. Like, instead of studying for physics, I could be focusing more time on 4 unit or something. I'm just worried about stuffing up a subject, like one of my teachers said, they could...

    11 or 13 units?

I know this thread hasn't been active for a while... but I'm in a sort of dilemma right now, which involves "13 or 11 units". So my electives right now are legal studies, economics and physics, and altogether, including SORI, 4U maths, adv. english, I've got 13 units. I personally believe...
