hey guys, since belonging's only been going for a couple of years i'm looking for some trial AOS papers, but can't find them anywhere! the hsc papers are pretty useless (for section 1 at least) because everything is "awaiting copyright". has anyone got any/know where some are uploaded?

they definitely wouldn't mandate for two different modules in the same year - they'd pick one to make difficult. and yep they never do in paper 1, which makes me wish i had poems for belonging!

in my trial they mandated a poem, which was a bit rough as it wasn't one of the main ones that people usually write about. it's kind of given that you should prepare for different text types but i think i'll study mainly for a couple of poems and cross my fingers that they don't mandate!

an integrated structure is good if you can do it well, but text-by-text is easier. depends upon the essay - for belonging, structuring it by texts would probably be fine, as they're looking for a simpler essay, but for the modules and extension a thematic structure can show more depth and...

what do you guys reckon, will they mandate certain poems? i do kenneth slessor for module b, and they haven't mandated one since 2003 - could equally mean that they'll spring it on us this year, or that it's highly unlikely. it's just such a trek to study all the poems when they probably won't...

hello fortians! i think the hard bit about that question is the "most effective" - first you have to set criteria for the gothic to achieve, i.e. scaring its readers, or whatever, then prove that leaving the monstrous in the shadowy, imaginative realm is the most effective way to achieve that...
