    How do i ESTIMATE the combustion energy value for the alcohol substituent (OH) in ? given that methane is 726, ethane is 1367, 1-propanol is 2021 and 1-butanol is 2676.. and also that the combustion energy involved in each -CH2- is 650kJ/mol. huhhhh??

    ahh.. i thought it might have to involve concave lens and what not.. but how exactly am i meant to produce an experiment to show this - shining a red light through a bubble is not easy. .. and why is it red light? why can't it be blue??
