I know about the different rounds and stuff, but how do offers from different uni's work? Can you get two offers from different uni's? Or just your single highest preferece?

I heard the closing date is the 6th Jan, but I read in the UAC guide that 11th Dec was the closing date to be definitely considered in the main round. Also, some guy told me that the closing date is tonight for the main round.

Planning to do law/accounting at Macquarie uni next year. Term starts mid Feb I think. But I'm going overseas for three weeks late March-mid April. Basically, I'm there for 3 weeks , then miss 3 weeks. I know about online lectures blah blah blah, but I want to know if its realistic to 'catch up'...
