    Psychology Degree, Please help!

I am currently doing my honours in psychology at Sydney University as part of a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). Like the others before me have said, you''ll need an average of at least 75 (Distinction) to make it into honours (but if you're majoring in honours in a BA instead of doing a B...

    MATHS 2u HSC TIPS

I was a state-ranker in 2010 for mathematics. I did 2 past HSC papers every week from trials to the final exam (1995 - present)... when you run out of papers, do the same ones! I know it seems like a waste of time, but you learn new things every time you re-do an exam. I also did 1 trial...

Hey man, Yeah it's good and challenging. It's very very philosophical and there is alot of reading. The essays are marked hard (normal for all philosophy units). But the topics are very interesting - you'll be questioning the way you've been thinking about science long after you finish...

    Psyc1001

    1. Do we need to know the stats/graphs (for the neuroscience one): They won't ask you an incredibly specific question regarding statistics or graphs, however it is still essential to know the general gist of what happened. For example, if you were given a graph showing the amount of drug use in...

    feminism

So you're suggesting that anyone with skill in mathematics can't be "knee-deep in pussy"? You shouldn’t judge people based on a stereotype. I’m actually a neuroscience/psych honours student who tutors in mathematics (hence my name), and I don’t find it difficult to attract women. Most of the...

*cough* virgin alert Hair follicles develop in sensitive areas to stop infection and irritation in both men and women. The fact that women feel the need to shave to attract little boys like you makes it obvious that the patriarchy is still prevalent. Women should have the choice to shave or...

    Q16

These are both correct answers. The rest of question 16 was fair. 16bi) should have been worth 3 marks though and 16cii) should have been worth 2. Just looking over the paper it's a bit frustrating that the rest of the test (relative to question 16) was incredibly easy. Not a great test to...

    ATAR Estimate please :)

It doesn't physically effect marks no, but it's useful to know because it gives a clue about how impressive the rankings are. For example, a rank of 40/50 at a school ranked 10th is just as good as a rank of 3/50 at a school ranked 350th.

    ATAR Estimate please :)

If you're school rank is around 350, your ATAR will be around 93

    Help with maths question?

So it's below line k: y = -1/2x + 6 and above line l: y= -1/2x - 4. Therefore, the inequality that defines the region is: -1/2x-4 <y < -1/2x + 6. OR you can put it in general form and say that the general equation of line k is less than zero, and the general equation of line l is greater...

WARNING to all students look for tutors. Most are greeedy, too expensive.

I'm sorry but this thread is ridiculous. In a normal well payed job, e.g. bar job, or supermarket an adult over 18 earns approximately $20 an hour. These people are put on for at least 4 hours shifts, and so, by the end of it, are making at LEAST $80. Maths tutoring is expensive for the...
