Timetable reshuffling and Major related Questions

Ooops! This reply has been sitting in the reply box on my phone for about a week now! I did not realize I hadn't posted it yet! Thanks for the advice guys! Turns out they released another stream of classes at 9am which is way better than the evening for me. And, yeah, I think there is a very...

Mac Uni's Guide to Food and Drink and stuff to do!

Regarding the Ubar, is entry age restricted for the whole day? Like, if I (still 17 when uni starts) wanted to do ping pong midday tuesday or felt like some pizza, would I be allowed to? Or is it quite strict? I see the list of some cool activities and events coming up at ubar and just feel down...

Timetable reshuffling and Major related Questions

Hey Guys, First off, is there a good chance people will change/drop out of their class times before week 1 (or during)? I've enrolled in SPN101 but the only seminar times left were late afternoon/evening which is really not good for me. There are other times but they're all full... Could...

    Minors

Hey guys, I know that minors have to be 12cp (half of a major) and that at least 6 of those need to be 200+, but it didn't say anything about 300 level units. Do you need to complete a 300 level unit as well? Or could you just do two 100 and two 200 level units? Thanks! :)

When can we start planning timetable

I did get an early offer but didn't enrol in that since it wasn't the course I wanted. I did already get the maq ID number for the early offer though so maybe that's why.?

    Bachelor of Arts

There are certain degrees for which you need to complete an extra step before you can enrol. You can find the list if you click on step 2, and then scroll down a bit, on this page: http://students.mq.edu.au/student_admin/enrolmentguide/acceptyouroffer/undergraduatedomestic/

Can you have 2 arts degree majors if u are doing a combined arts/ law degree? Thanks

Re: Can you have 2 arts degree majors if u are doing a combined arts/ law degree? Tha sweetalmond, you can do that human geography unit as your people unit, as long as it is NOT a part of one of your major units or a foundation unit for the degree (e.g. BCom has a bunch of required units...

    Bachelor of Arts

Not at all. :) You can have only one, that would just leave you with heaps of electives which is why some students do two majors and many do a major and minor(s).

Can you have 2 arts degree majors if u are doing a combined arts/ law degree? Thanks

Re: Can you have 2 arts degree majors if u are doing a combined arts/ law degree? Tha Hey there, :) I see what you're asking and it makes sense calculation-wise but, as far as I know, having another major is not possible because of the people/planet unit requirements. These have to come from...

When can we start planning timetable

I had to do those steps as well. If you completed the process, you should now be able to enrol via estudent. It only took 12 hours for me to be able to do so after completing that thing. Compulsory on-campus enrolment isn't necessary anymore if your enrolment can be completed online...

    People and Planet Units

Be careful with that. So basically, if the unit is on the list for your degree or major, for example (I hope this works): Required 6cp from: POL101 Australian Politics in Global Context (3) POL107 Thinking Politically (3) POL108 Introduction to Global...

    People and Planet Units

I'm planning on doing ISYS100 too actually. :wavey: As long as the unit is not a part of the required units of your degree, it can be from your faculty. So, if ISYS100 is not a required unit for your degree/major, you can choose it as a planet unit but your people unit then obviously has to be...
