    Mathematics for engineering

I don't mean to revive this post, but for anyone who has the same issue and finds this post: it is very much possible, I only had to do an extra subject and had to do math during summer (at UTS at least). Don't be discouraged, just put the work in (but be scared so it makes you try as hard...

Whats everyone's opinion on UTS's Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice course? Worth the extra year and diploma? I've heard good and bad, some think it helps to get a job, some have trouble finding a company to work in, others say you're better off...

Also I see that employment for marketing is strong in Sydney and the inner-west, but not so much for mechanical engineering. Sorry, just seeing these things scare me so much

    Guidance for a Year 12

how is the growth and unemployment for mechanical engineering looking? I had a look at job outlook and it doesn't look very promising (growth over past 2 years), however it seems like it was last updated 2012?

    Guidance for a Year 12

I'm definite with my decision for mechanical. As for math, I really don't know whether I like it or not... With general I don't mind doing since it is super easy but I know it can't compare to mathematics or EX1. Thanks for the advice so far everyone!

    Guidance for a Year 12

I see, thanks. However would it mean that there would be more support in UOW since they assume students only know mathematics?

    Mathematics for engineering

I'm sure not all of us had decided what we wanted to do in university during our subject selections... I'm not asking for criticism, I am asking of what I should be prepared for.

    Mathematics for engineering

Hi there, I definitely want to do engineering in university but I see that most assumed knowledge is math extension 1. The issue is that I'm currently doing general math and I'm wondering how essential this is and whether it is super necessary to take on a bridging course or not. If it helps...
