Personality:
- Part I: Describe personal background + historical context (apparently it hasn't been asked in a while and 3 sig events has been asked past few years)
what do you mean by 'historical context'?
for USA maybe something about the impact of the Depression on different social groups, or Republican economic policies or maybe domestic influences on foreign policy
yeah, writing essays etc. out under timed conditions is super useful, helps stregthen the hand, remeber your concepts (wrote learning) and gives you an indication of your time management
awesome, thanks heaps, one more question, how much of an impact does the moderation/scaling of schools have? I undertsand the need for it i.e. no standadiesed assesments etc. Im presuming it would have a farily big impact?
How easy would it/is it to get a 90 ATAR? My assessment has been pretty consistent all year (90%+ all subjects) and I've been doing around 4-5 hours study a day. However, I'm not overly good at exams (much rather assignments). :)
nice, what do you think the approximate hours should be for someone looking for a 90? Fairly good assessment over the whole year (90+ all subjects) and ranked 1 in 3/5 classes. I don't do too well in exams though and my schools only ranked 581 :P
What's the amount of work/study that people are doing and what are you expecting/ wanting to get for an ATAR? Just trying to gauge an idea of the effort different people are putting in :)
Is there any easy way to access my assessment averages? (Other than digging through my old assignments and averaging them), they weren't on my report card
Forgive my naivety but are there any other factors that affect my atar? Other than the HSC mark, assessment mark, rank and possibly school rank? How influential is the scaling of subjects etc? Even if I have good internal rank and assessment and a good external HSC exam, will my cohorts poor...
hahaha, I'm not sure, I really only started working hard 2 weeks before trials, traditionally at my school no one really cares or achieves well in the HSC, with a large group of kids leaving by year 10 or doing Non-ATAR, those who do go to uni end up going to tier 2 Unis i.e. Southern...
