Are there less Asians doing com/law at usyd than unsw? If so, why?

    Lecture notes

There are not any notes for the first semester of first year Law at UNSW. Seriously. I don't know how it works for second semester, however, for what I have done so far we just used a textbook.

    Timetable for commerce/law

I don't think UNSW enables com/law students to actually do less than 3 days a week. I could be wrong though.

    Adam and Eve or Evolution?

Yes they did have cognitive thought 200,000 years ago. Amazing huh.

    Adam and Eve or Evolution?

Lainee, you are correct. Organised religion is not some political scam or power struggle. However to deny that it does not vehemently advocate obstinate guiding principles, rules etc. is to deny that it is not the most powerful form of social cohesion available to mankind. Indeed, I believe it...

    fee paying combined law unsw

I think its about 18-22K(UAC). However, if you are using Fee-Help, then add another 20% onto what you borrow. Ouch. A good 100,000K in total.

i got offered combined law but..

derek I too am doing com/law at UNSW and am having a very similar problem. Although (unlike you) I was finally able to obtain myUNSW user ID and UNI Pass, I still cannot access myUNSW because it claims there is an error in my ID or Pass...which there is not. I rang up a UNSW student who told me...

I know I can't believe it either...never before has this phrase rung truer: 'It is not what you know; it is who you know.'

    commerce/law

However, there would still be people who got 99.55 who chose to do full fee in 2004 with the knowledge they must transfer to HECS to continue studying...so my question is why...why was nobody successful when there were some extremely competent people in fee com/law? A freak occurence...or the...

    commerce/science to comm/law

Thanks David, great tips!. Again! By the way, do you think an application for transfer from say a BCom to a BCom/LLB could be governed by a reference. I ask this because I was amazingly offered a part-time job by a very high-flying lawyer in a powerful law firm. This person has great influence...

    commerce/law

Open day horror I know all preferences have been lodged already...etc. However, after attending the UNSW and USyd open days I hope you decided not to do fee paying commerce/law. Considering such an option myself, the open day law mini-lectures opened my eyes to how stupid such an option is...

    commerce/science to comm/law

I think you are wrong there dude. UNSW and Sydney uni's very strongly emphasise that you can NOT transfer after more than 1 year. Primarily because the applicants timetable would be out of kilter with the people who had entered or transfered a year prior. "Q: If I don't receive a transfer...

HELP! EAS dash Broadway scheme acceptence

Thanks for the correction Generator! Can you suggest what other types of courses or criteria do apply. I wrote what I wrote because I was shocked by how inflexible the higher demand universities such as USyd and UNSW appear to be. The only cut-offs which I DO know about are, HECS UAI, HECS...

    Answers about Law

Actually, I too am very curious about what the law classes are like. Can you please tell a prospective law student anything of relevance regarding the general structure, (ie lecturer talking to 500 students, followed by small tutorials) and also things like group presentations and mooting. What...

Sydney versus UNSW - whats the difference?

I know this debate has been really, really exhausted, however, it does come down to a choice having to be made and there is so little information to go on. Each student says there uni is better, each brochure extolls their own courses brilliance, each helpline advisr tries to persuade you ("let...
