In need of advice: Primary Education vs. Early Childhood Education

Not a problem! I’m very glad to help. Just so you know, I have a Bachelors of Architecture from UTS, and I’m currently doing a Masters in Teaching (Birth-12) at UWS - it’s a 2.5 year course. This degree means that I will be a 4 year trained Primary teacher and an Early Childhood Teacher. I...

What is the best Uni for teaching?

If you want to teach religious Catholic education then go to a Catholic university, as they are the only ones that offer those subjects.

In need of advice: Primary Education vs. Early Childhood Education

Lucky you, I'm studying Primary Teaching and Early Childhood as a Masters at UWS. I'm nearly finished, one semester to go. I'm very happy to answer all your questions, if you see this please PM me. I see you posted quite a while ago, so I don't want to spend lots of time answering your...

    Study Timetable

It might not help, you know. Not everyone can study that way. Personally I find them useless for me, because every night I'm in a different mood and feel like doing different things. Then again, I do barely 1 hour tops every night. So far my marks have been pretty good - average/above...

    Has anyone gone crazy yet

I'm going crazy NOW because I just had my half yearlies, and I realised that I'm putting NO WHERE NEAR enough effort in!!!! AND I HAVE MATHS TOMORROW and it's 10pm. I haven't done ANYTHING! And I don't understand a concept, and no one can help me, because either they don't get it or they're...

Any specific goals in regards to HSC?

My aims in this order: 1. Get into Architecture at UNSW (only 90!) 2. Get a UAI I'm not too embarrased about 3. Don't drag down the grade's average (around 95-96) 4. Beat my relatives!! (97- perfect 100) I think my first aim is achievable. Maybe. Yay.

massive forearm cramps from writing too much?

Sticky tape a battery to the end of your pen, and take off the battery for exams. It strengthens the muscles in your hand and arm so you can write for longer without cramping. I've found it hasn't really helped me write faster though, that requires practice.

    Time Management: Study Vs Homework

Homework is important for subjects such as Maths and English!!! For subjects such as Legal Studies that is all memorising stuff and not much else, don't bother with homework. Who really wants to do sheets full of comprehension questions, that aren't organised by syllabus dot points? NO ONE...

How much do you like your subjects?

English Adv - 8 (interesting, educational content) General Maths - 5 (it's... maths. Blergh.) IPT - 2 Legal Studies - 3 Business Studies - 3 I HATE MY SUBJECTS!!!! If I could go back in time I would change them ALL, except maths and English, except I would to Ext 1.

How well did u go for your second HSC assessments?

I'm not too happy. I didn't put nearly enough preparation in. For Legal Studies I thought I'd learnt enough content for my extended responses but ran out of things to talk about after a while. I underestimated how much I could write!

Oh, meee! This is so random, it's like 2 hours after the actual concert. I was looking for a list of the performers but couldn't find one online, far out! Did anyone get the booklet? Would someone be able to put up a list of their names, and possibly their schools? That would be very...

    B Architecture...confused

I'm hoping to do Architecture too, except I'm doing General Maths, no physics and Social Science subjects. I've been told by Architecture students that the maths is pretty basic and only goes up to about a Year 10 standard.

    landscape architecture and architecture

I'm not positive, but I don't think you can switch and start Architecture in the 2nd year. I think you'd have to start again.

    Architecture: USyd or UNSW?

I've looked into UTS, USYD and UNSW, and personally I think UNSW is the most practical. They have the Built Environment faculty which has lots of similar courses, like Interior Architecture, Landscape Architecture, heaps more. I'd like to take electives from different courses.

    architecture- no maths!

I've asked Architecture students at UTS and UNSW (which should have similar courses) and I've been told that the maths only goes up to about year 10 maths. I was worried too, because I'm only doing General Maths. I think they just want students to be good at it, because I guess a lot of maths...

The NSW Govt. is monitoring my personal emails!

I've asked everyone on the mailing list and they've all said their emails aren't being redirected to their school emails, although some of them have accessed their school emails from home. I don't understand how the government got hold of our emails! One of my friends friend got them too and...

The NSW Govt. is monitoring my personal emails!

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a worm, at least on my computer, because I'm using a Mac. I'm also pretty sure none of the emails on the sending list would have redirected their emails to their school email account. I then individually sent a letter to all the people on the list with the said...
