Imagine a helmet strapped on a human skull— forever

This actually turned out to be quite an interesting topic. First we must establish the ground rules....If there are too many laws then it restricts the freedom of the populace, however if there are too few then something akin to anarchy could occur. The trick is to find the right balance, and...

BOS University Guide: A Complete Guide to 1st Year Uni [A Work In Progress]

Re: The Idiot's Guide to University (FAQ) Hrrrmm thanks for that, and they recomend at least an 1 hour for each contact time dont they? So im looking at a 45 hour week minimum essentially....thats manageable.

Cheating on the HSC. How much of it goes on?

Well I didnt really cheat because well Im pretty good at cramming however I did have an amusing time when my friend next to me went "Dammit I forgot my watch.....Dammit my glasses too...fuck! The clock on the wall is too far away now and I cant see it (due to lack of glasses)" I found this very...

    Immortality?

I do not think immortality is achievable for humans, but I believe that it may eventually take so long for a person to die (thats if we even resemble the humans we once were because lets face it by the time that happens we will have evolved into something else entirely), relativistically we may...

    Thoughts??

No you dont section the web, not sure about the holes however but for the tiny ones you were supposed to use hidden detail. Hoping to get at least 3/5 for that drawing. and 3/4 for the other but im pretty sure they hammer them.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Hrrm Im fairly sure that everyone who didnt read the question probably or decided to waffle on with another related text that wasnt requested when they found they had time left over because they fail at actually knowing their related texts in depth. Well they fail at life. It english and you...

    Band Cut-Offs

I would say to have a hope of getting a band six you would need at least an 85. Oh and physics and chemistry scale better then economics, they are harder subjects generally, and im not being biased I LIKE economics and I do well in Chemistry and Physics, but they are harder.

    General Thoughts: Economics

I personally put non-discretionary as taxation, and did that for the second bit of the question as well and for the discretionary part I put government welfare/security payments. I think im right...hopefully didnt get them backwards. Edit- SHIT! looked it up...got it backwards definition of a...

    General Thoughts: Economics

Oh and Im also fairly sure it was housing as you worked out the importance to CPI levels, I worked it out in a ratio type way and gave good results. Health was factored in too lightly thus I dont believe it was health.

    General Thoughts: Economics

I put C as well because the labour force wouldnt change because they are still aged between 16 and 65 and if you are actively seeking employment then you are technically classed as employed thus it was C as unemployment goes up because they are not actively seeking work and the labour force...

    Band Cut offs?

I personally liked the middle section over the option- Quanta to Quarks I thought the questions were worded oddly for some of them, though I think I answered everything correctly It took me ages to do it so i ended up rushing the middle section. The middle I felt was good, you had to apply both...

Belonging - 2 supp texts okay!

Good other responses were starting to make me rage uncontrollably. Personally I think you should penalized automatically for failing to answer the question within the realms that have been set, because people who adapted their responses in the exam may have done so at the expense oh...

that acid 1 acid 2 question

    Ok do you remember how many marks it was worth? Because I remember saying that it changes around a pH of 8 thus is a suitable indicator for the equivalence points in both graphs. I couldnt remember the exact endpoints ={

that acid 1 acid 2 question

+1 but I said instead that there was a high concentration of acid two because it had a low pH and I didnt want to assume that acid one was dilute because it had a pH of 1. Im fairly sure what you said is right I was just being cautious.

that acid 1 acid 2 question

From memory I said that acid one was stronger however there was a higher concentration of acid two. Backed this up my referencing to the graph. For the example about a salt produced for the second part do you think CH3COOK would work?

    how was it

    1. I said use a copper can as it is a better conductor of heat 2. Perform experiment in room at constant temperature with no breeze or wind.

    how was it

I liked the test, though I found the shipwrecks bit harder. Does anyone know if they scale the options individually so they roughly equal the others? Because if one option was harder then the others its not real fair. I also really like how they didnt ask about the stupid acid scientists. Lots...
