Haha, UMAT in 2006 + UWS application = a match made in heaven. Love my course - and you can apply for it even after you've done a degree, because it's an undergraduate course, you don't have to sit GAMSAT. Got to use my UAI, and none of my uni marks, thank God.
And I'm really not going back...
Nah, it was like this when I resat the UMAT in 2006 - I knew if I did worse that year, I was kinda in trouble, because they would take that score instead of 2005's... but I took the risk, and it paid off.
I found it much easier the second time around anyway.
In my experience, about 18 months..but then I agree with ur_inner_child on the definition. It's not 'getting sick of' to me, it's more of a settling in to a new level, not necessarily worse than the butterflies period.
That is true - your student number thingy you'll write on your UMAT paper will be given to you on your little green ticket in. I dunno if it's green - they were last year - but it'll have the number on it :)
Haha, coz that year was hell - it felt really irrelevant and nitpicky. Most people don't choose med science because they love maths - gosh, so much maths....
I did first year med sci at USYD - hated it - its maths, biology, physics and chemistry for a year! And let's not forget the molecular biology. Friends continuing say it's 'alright', but they're not sure where it's going a lot of the time.
If I had to start again (and wasn't doing medicine)...
Haha, well, I'm having a ball at UWS? And it's only 5 years. Awesomeness.
I took that timeframe into account, because with all the training later on, a few years less while you're at uni could make a difference.
Heyy..! My mum's a teacher and my dad makes rubber for a living. I think I'm kinda serious about it, but I'm also enjoying the social side. You should probably get some more sleep if you're tired all the time, and active note-taking in lectures helps you not to fall asleep (haha, that's how I...
ahh, I know you now katy! Haha, I was so excited to find another Katy, and someone pointed you out to me :).
Prashanthy, where the hell have you been girl? You keep disappearing after PBL, you're like a ghost!
I feel like chocolate...
Lol, yeah, I'm wondering who everyone is too!
Hi kathelle *waves* - I'm katie, one of the two redhead girls in the common room. Have we met?
And who are you, sladehk?
Hey guys - all this information is on the uwscoonect website:
http://www.uwsconnect.com.au/sport/Gym_Membership_Prices.aspx?cid=4
Prices look pretty decent, and all the equipment you really need is there. Also got free group fitness stuff, like yoga, aerobics, boxercise etc. on every...
hmmm, a lot easier now that they took those damn pesky shapes out, haha, I could never find them.... But even so, it wasn't a walk in the park by any means.
Oh wow, I didn't know there was an actual cutoff for UMAT given, and the only thing I knew about the Western Sydney thing was that we 'may be given preferential treatment' if we can prove that we've lived in Greater Western Sydney for a number for years.
I can't remember exactly my UMAT, but...
