    AMSA CONVENTION 'laide 07'

It's crazy how quickly it sold out. So many people missed out.

    Double Declutching, why double declutch??

What a waste of petrol. Do you mean to seriously say that you take a car from 5th down to 1st before actually stopping at traffic lights?

    Car Magazines

I too remember Speed... Right now sticking to wheels. But I'm getting sick of the new Commodore. Which is making me rethink my subscription.

    Any evo fans?

I'm not sure if I understand you seremify, but macoboi was referring to a rolling start. They were already travelling at a given speed.

    Any evo fans?

I believe that brake horse power specifically refers to the power at the crank/flywheel. Not to be confused with a measurement at the wheels, which would incur drivetrain and gearbox power losses. However, it is possible that some manufacturers measure the power after the gearbox, or at the...

    overheating problem...

As the others said - fans are a possibility. Also very possible is that your thermostat was stuck on the closed position (small cycle). This severely restricts the available antifreeze flow - and causes overheating. The fix is to get a new one. Could you elaborate on the 'chugging'?

    Med at Adelaide

And every year people fall through both sides of the cracks.

    Med at Adelaide

What is it that you are looking to do? There is probably some place to do it, in Adelaide.

    Med at Adelaide

It's semi-structured - the interviewers will go with the flow you dictate, and there are also scenario questions, of the kind - 'You are treating a terminal cancer patient, who wishes to forgo treatment to be at his daughter's wedding...' etc. I don't believe there is any vocab definition...

    2006 UMAT results???

I already mentioned the cutoffs for Adelaide a mere two pages back. You'll be lucky to find someone (not to say that someone won't) who'll list you all the cutoffs for every medical course in the country. I suggest http://www.medstudentsonline.com/forums/index.php? Do a search there. At the...

    2006 UMAT results???

Monash uses your percentile total. Melbourne weights the first section of your scores. And uses that total. Everywhere else, your regular score totals are used. Nice scores.

    UNSW interviews

Have you thought about this career for long enough?

    2006 UMAT results???

Pr0digy's right. It has fluctuated from 171-173 in the past three years. Dentistry is around 160 (in which case you just miss out). However, second round interviews go out to all the 99.xx ers who applied - and the cutoffs are lowered a little. So if you pull of a 99.xx, dent interview may very...

    Top Gear, Primetime Sbs!

Hammond? I don't think so... He doesn't have the presence of Clarkson, and is far more difficult to take seriously - in any of his reviews (unlike May). Although the article is vague, it's sad news.

    UNSW interviews

Just don't tell them what your other preferences are.

    Favourite all time iconic car

Porsche Carrera RS, Shelby Mustang, BMW 2002 Turbo, BMW 850CSi, Mercedes 500SEC AMG Hammer, etc, etc... I don't think I can limit myself to just one.
