    i think it depends on the speed of your jog, but generally skipping burns more calories. i did read/hear somewhere that you should aim to do 2/3 minutes fasr skipping, and then slow down for 1 minute, and then go 2/3 minutes again. apparently it works better if you want to lose weight.
