Who got a sh*t uai? Cmon share your pain

Re: Who got a shit uai? Cmon share your pain I think it's stupid that he complains about ONLY getting a UAI of 99.95. Farken hell, I know he wanted 100 and that he would have worked really hard for his great marks, but it's stupid to complain when your UAI is that good. Plus, it makes those of...

    Hsc Results Out 2moro

^ Yeah, I have had a few dreams about really, really low marks and a crap UAI. It's going to be horrible tomorrow when those dreams come true and it turns out I have screwed many years of hard work in just 8 exams. This sucks, I'm so nervous that I could probably vomit right now. But it's good...

What are your plans for results days?

Tuesday: get up and go to work at 7. Finish at 11, then come home and check results. Then I'll drive out of town to pick up a friend, share results, cry, and go to the Year 12 barbeque being held. Then apologise profusely to all my teachers who really tried to help me, but to no avail...

    Less then a week...

Yeah I work at 7am, and I don't particularly want to be crying at work so I think I'll wait until later. Plus, hopefully my parents won't be home when I finish, so I won't have them bugging me about them.

    Less then a week...

I had almost totally forgotten about the exams and our results until this week. Now I am so nervous and scared. I know I didn't do well, and I am NOT looking forward to getting the results back. But, as well as getting our results, there is also a Year 12 lunch at our school on Tuesday so we can...

    Yr 12 Privileges

Not many privileges.... Seniors have their own canteen line, their own seating area, occasionally got to sit on chairs for school liturgy's and masses.... But the so-called "privileges" didn't really apply to my year. We weren't allowed to leave during our frees (unless it was the last 2...

    eating/sleeping patterns and the HSC

During HSC I ate alot more than usual (probably to distract myself from the task at hand) but I slept less. On average (during the actual HSC period) I probably had 4 hours a night, but some nights (either due to illness, caffeine pills and/or stress) I had zero to 2 hours sleep. Now, I can't...

HSC Marks vs UAI- What are you most anxious about?

HSC marks for me... I'm not too interested in uni.

    sick during hsc

Um, I was sick and I got a misadventure/illness form. The supervisors had to know before or during the exam because they have to comment on your behaviour and so forth during the exam. You do need a doctor's certificate or your appeal will not be accepted, and despite that, your appeal may be...

    The Stress is Overrated

Okay, sorry, but that is stupid. You don't even make sense. And yes, T-mac, you are generalising again.

    The Stress is Overrated

^ no offence, but I don't like this whole eastern v western education. The systems may be very different but you can't measure the level of work someone does by the system they are in. Ultimately it varies with the individual. Just because people haven't experienced eastern education doesn't...

    The Stress is Overrated

^ I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say... Are you saying that it is easier to get a UAI of 90 with humanitarian subjects? I don't understand if that's your point or not? My subjects were English Advanced, English Extension 1, Mathematics, Maths Extension 1, Legal Studies, Economics and...

    Misadventure

^ Well, I started getting queasy the night before economics and I thought it was just nervousness. But it kept getting worse all morning. About 2 hours before the exam I felt as if I was going to vomit everywhere. Then in the actual exam I started getting hot flushes and had to go to the...

    Misadventure

I'm sorry, but I didn't know where I should put this, so I hope this forum's okay... I applied for misadventure on 2 of my exams (economics and legal studies) and was wondering if anyone knew what they do if your appeal is successful. (I realise that my appeal can be rejected and that I will be...

    The Stress is Overrated

^ it is extremely disheartening. Especially if you are someone like me who honestly tries so hard, but nothing comes of it. And don't worry wouldbedoctor, you aren't alone with legal either. I had a total breakdown in economics, crying and everything, because I was sick (vomiting bug) and...

    The Stress is Overrated

I have worked hard my whole schooling life, you could ask anyone that knows me - friends, family, teachers, and workmates. I was/am a frigon nerd and lived like a fucking hermit (especially for the last 2 years) working my ass off studying, trying to get good marks. You don't know me, nor do...

    The Stress is Overrated

Just because you can 'coast through school' and manage a UAI of 90+ doesn't mean that everyone (even those who study) are able to do so. I studied every day in stuvac (and studied pretty constantly through the year) and will not have a UAI near 90. And I was 'serious' about doing well too.

Misadventure - what should I do?

lol, you remember me... I'm going to be doing the legal test regardless of if I'm sick or not, but if it gets worse I'll have to get a doctor's certificate for consideration. It's just that with eco (despite the fact I have had time to go to the doc) I didn't know I was sick until I was in the...
