From: http://www.anu.edu.au/sas/studentadmin/seapguide/importantadmindates.php

14 February
(Monday)
Orientation Week commences.

17 February
(Thursday)
Registration of enrolment for new undergraduate students.

18 February
(Friday)
Closing date for cancelling enrolment for the academic year and receiving a refund of GSF. (See 5.3 for details.)

21 February
(Monday)
First Semester 2005 and first teaching period begins for coursework students.

From that I'd say that the 17th is the day that you don't want to miss.

Now now neo - you should remember from last year....

College kids should be moving in on about the 11th and enrolling on the 12/13....

For anyone who's unsure when/if you are accepted into a college/into uni the pack you recieve will give you all the details.

I knew first years who skipped O-week, you don't have to go. In regards to new undergraduates and enrolling, I'll take admins word for it and assume that it's on the 17th. It's a good idea to move in when the college tells you to though, since you'll be paying for it if you're living there or not :p.

neo, that is for 2005. If it is the same this year, then rego will be on the 16th.

O-week starts on the 13th, monday. Uni commences on the 20th, one week later.

You can move into on campus accommodation early, I believe. Ring them up once you receive your offer around the 18th of this month.

Indeed... I'm a little surprised they haven't updated it already. An eagre prospective uni student is a dangerous thing to meddle with.

Yeah you can move into accommodation late. The question is, will you still have to pay for the days you weren't there? Dunno.

As for enrolling: Um. I'm not sure. Ring them and ask, if you suspect you won't be there on enrolment day.

Damn you're lucky. First Queensland, now SA!

You mean 'wheel of goon'?

Not as an official event but doubtless in various backyards - and probably at some of the colleges.

A friend told me Goon of Fortune. If it's at ANU, then so am I.

P.S - For the first day of O-week I'll be wearing my Trollified BoS tee. Make sure to say hello.

Well 'wheel of goon' is where a goon bag is tied to a hills hoist which is spun whilst participants try and drink the goon or somesuch....

Give me some detail on what constitutes a 'trollified BoS T' and I'll keep an eye out for you.

Goon of Fortune sounds a lot different. GoF is where you tie 4 goon sacks to Hills Hoist and spin. When it stops, the participants have to skull their sack for 5 seconds. But the problem is that 1 sack has goon, 1 with water, the other with vodka and the last with grape juice and ethanol.

^Much fun :)^

My Trollified BoS T is a display of my frustration with this community. I bought a $29.95 BoSman T and cut it up, dyed some of it black and spray-painted 'Troll' on the back; it's quite sexy...in a nerdXcore way.
