Does anyone know of any good, interesting 200 level liberal studies units... i need to choose one and im not sure what to choose.

Liberal Studies?

I can only really talk about history subjects -- HIST252 is apparently good, as is HIST299. They're probably the two best for 1st sem...

Liberal Studies? Isnt that part of the USYD course.. which involves a double major consisting of Arts and Science?

Are you just asking for Arts/Science units at 200 level?

Yeah, 'liberal studies' is probably not the right word... I think most people would just say 'a 200 level arts unit'.

Do a HIST unit. Modern History is da bomb. Alternatively, do an AHST unit -- Ciceronian Rome and the Late Antiquity (Theodora, Byzantium, etc) are awesome.

An introductory language unit, like GMN295/296 would be fun.

And are you sure you're prescribed 'x credit points at a 200 level'? Because if it's 'x credit points at a 200 level or above', remember that the 300 level units count towards that.

Yeah, liberal studies is actually older terminology for what we would call 'general' subjects, like lower level science/arts/etc.

WE use it in the institute of early childhood at MQ uni.
