I'm going through old papers and I can't recall seeing a question like this in other past papers



The pole is 4.5cm long.

What's the likelyhood of getting question like this in the HSC?

edit: read the question wrong lol

its the one 7.5cm away

4.5/1500 = 0.003

This is the ratio of the paper size to theoretical size

2500*0.003 = 7.5

By multiplying the shadow theoretical size by the ratio we get the paper size
