my thinking is that they're gonna use the haber process for about 4 marks, biopolymer for about 4-5 marks, a general acid question for about 6 marks, where they ask about weak, strong, indicators, and possibly titration *ugh*

but the real 7-8 markers are most probably coming from the option
i do chem of art, so i'm guessing there'll be a quetsion like "describe the changing nature of pigments with reference to 1 ancient culture, and then describe how modern day analysis has improved out knowledge of pigments."
cause that'll encorporate the different chemical compositions of pigments eg ochres, and then it'll ask for diffraction and laser stuff
anyway, that's my 2c worth :)

They've already done the batteries and biopolymers as large questions, 7 and 5 marks.

It may be probably something to do with ethanol, the fermentation process and its use as a fuel.

Ethanol, or maybe nuclear chemistry, which would be nice, cause they hardly ever have big questions on that part.

I'm thinking 8 mark question on CFC's similar to the one in the CSSA trial.

Or a higher mark question on purification of water.

I believe the acidic oxides was mentioned in 2002? with sulfer dioxide mising with water to form sulfric acid?

i think 8 marks will be the highest, by the way by question i mean 1 question, without parts a) b) etc to guide you

NAh, i reckon they wont ask anything above 6, anymore than that and your getting too large. think about it, 6 points about a single subject can be hard for people to do. and it divides people perfectly into the 6 bands :). actually that was just speculation.

Physics didn't have a 8 mark question besides the option topic so I guess Chemistry could be the same :)
