could any1 explain the trends in the graph plz (in particular the peak)

the graph shows that polymer molecules exist at different molecular weights, the peak indicates that there are more polyers of shorter molecular weights than those of greater molecular weights

Polymerisation is a random process with different chain lengths produced, hence the different molecular weights
