i would say 96 or 97, depending on the difficulty of the testFatJ said:A good 98 I'd say.
I didn't find Mathematics 2004 all that difficult. But i'm not accelerating Mathematics officially so the 113/120 won't count for much.Arithela said:yeah wouldn't say 98 because several years ago 118/120 aligned to 99 but it depends on the exam
huh? not accelerating officialy? so ur not gonna do the exam next monday?shaon0 said:I didn't find Mathematics 2004 all that difficult. But i'm not accelerating Mathematics officially so the 113/120 won't count for much.
No, i just accelerated by myself. And thought i'd do a Mathematics HSC past paper.Timothy.Siu said:huh? not accelerating officialy? so ur not gonna do the exam next monday?
lol....whatever suits you, although i really dont see the pointshaon0 said:No, i just accelerated by myself. And thought i'd do a Mathematics HSC past paper.
My school doesn't offer accelerated maths so i didn't have the opportunity to accelerate.Timothy.Siu said:lol....whatever suits you, although i really dont see the point
so why bother, i mean sure u can teach urself but theres no point in doing the past papers...even if u do get full marks coz its not gonna mean anything if u dont do the hsc exam. so u shud just save ur time and do 3/4unit or ur other subjects.shaon0 said:My school doesn't offer accelerated maths so i didn't have the opportunity to accelerate.
Yeah i've only done 2004 and 2007 HSC maths exam. I am building my maths up so that it will be easier in 3unit and 4unit maths. And the concepts in 3unit and 4unit build on the concepts in 4unit, so in my opinion you should have a solid foundation before going onto harder topics in 3unit and 4unit.Timothy.Siu said:so why bother, i mean sure u can teach urself but theres no point in doing the past papers...even if u do get full marks coz its not gonna mean anything if u dont do the hsc exam. so u shud just save ur time and do 3/4unit or ur other subjects.
just my advice.
Yeah but i wanted to see where i was at with my acceleration in comparison to the other people.Timothy.Siu said:u dont need to do 2unit past papers to have a solid foundation for 3/4 unit.
3unit & 4unit are not entirely different courses from 2unit mathematics. They carry the same concepts and principles.Timothy.Siu said:doesn't mean much, 3&4 unit is a different ball game
Yeah, i agree but lucky i'm crap at consumer arithmetic ..Timothy.Siu said:yeah some concepts are the same but for example, its not gonna help me if i'm really good at consumer arithmetic..
if u just know those concepts roughly u can reinforce them when u learn 3unit, and doing past papers for 2unit wont be as effective as learning 3unit or doing 3unit past papers. you can basically learn 3unit and do well without doing 2unit...
thats wat i'm ready for at school, ready for some people who didn't do well in 2unit to suddenly come up in the ranking in 3/4unit and i know it'll happen.
