For those wondering, it can be found here, answers can be found here and marking guidelines here.

If anyone is doing the exam now, try to keep any questions you have to this thread.

I'm stuck on Q24 c ii.. Anyone have any idea? I know the answer, but no idea how it was achieved.

look at my attachment, ignore the wierd face, but you see how each section is split up into 68%, 95%, and 99.7%, you can further break down the ranges inbetween as shown, then you just keep that as like a 'template' in your head and any question like that one you utilise that

good luck tommorow

anyone ask me as well i got 94% practice this paper

I'm sure I'll come across more easy questions that I can't answer, so don't go too far :p

i know everyone keeps going on about this paper being so easy, does that mean this year's will be tougher.

like these are my results for the hsc papers

2001: 82%
2002: 79%
2003: 75%
2004: 94%

I finished 2004 paper with about 40 minutes to go. they better not hit us hard this year :(

19)

A = P(1+r)^n
= $250(1+ 0.05/100)^30
= 253.78c

Therefore: the interest is the End amount minus the principa;

$253.78c - $250 = $3.78 which is B

bi) N = x+ 115

ii)
415 = x + x + 115
415 = 2x + 115
-415 -415

300 = 2x
x = 150

Having trouble with Q28 Ci. I know nothing about median regression lines!

Apart from the one's I've mentioned, it was a pretty easy test overall.

Well directly east would be 90 degrees. Half-way between east and south (south east) is half of 90 degrees, so add 45 degrees to the 90.
=135 degrees.

If you don'\t understand my woeful explanation, I'll draw a diagram for you.

24 b i) - it states that Q is south east of A, south east means that it is between south (180 ) and east ( 90 ) meaning that it is in between them, and 135 degrees around.
