I've been fiddling around in a spreadsheet program (trying to take my mind off the wait for UAIs!) and I've come up with some guesstimates for the 2004 main round UAI cut-offs at Sydney Uni for next year. The numbers are based on the trend between 2002 and 2003 overall at Sydney Uni and the change between 2002 and 2003 in each course. For courses with only a 2003 UAI cut-off (marked with 'new course,') only the overall trend is used (and so they're much less trustworthy.)

I haven't tweaked individual numbers (although I have tweaked bands of UAIs) so there are still quite a few strange results, especially in courses whose 2003 UAI was lower than their 2002 UAI.

Again, these numbers are only based on my guesses, so don't put too much faith into them. If there's enough interest, I'll do this for other universities too.

I welcome any feedback you have!

I plugged the UOW UAI cut-offs in to the spreadsheet (and changed the rounding a bit -- UOW UAIs don't seem to *ever* have anything after the decimal place.)

Nothing particularly exciting in this one, however :)

thanx for that, I think it might be a bit misleading though seeing as they stayed the same across 2002-2003, kinda hard to judge it....

That's what I was thinking. However, if they stayed the same across 2002-2003, there's probably a good chance they're not going to move too much in 2004.

I've done this for UNSW, and posted it <a href="http://www.boredofstudies.org/community/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22096">here</a>.
