Looks like people struggled with Standard English. Only .01% of the candidature got Band 6 and 2.36% got band 5.

yeh i heard last year was the first time any standard english student got band 6. noone has done it before

Five people got band 6 for English Standard this year. The highest HSC mark was 91.

They 'struggled' because they are ranked in amongst the advanced students, so no I don't think it would pay to do advanced if it's over your head..

I think I was the only retard in existence to have gotten 100% in the state Standard English exam back in the preliminary finals, 2004.

Then I went up to Advanced and got 78%. BITCH SET ME UP

What? you can't move from doing the standard course into the advanced course, you can only drop down....

my school allows you to move up if you achieved excellent marks throughout the standard prelim course.
