G'day.

Would somebody be able to explain to me how this works as Uts seem to have no idea and single email they sent out is useless.

a) When and where do I get my enrolment form and when is it due into UTS. They said it should have been mailed a while back and then the revised date as well but still nothing is in my mail box.

b) How does the timetabling work? When and how do we choose which subjects we want to do and when. I work part time so I can only go to uni at certain times and if I don't get the right timetable im pretty screwed.

Thanks

Jackson

Jackson,
are you referring to the new online enrolment system?
http://www.sau.uts.edu.au/enrolment/how_to/Web-enrolment2005.html
This is only working for Some course subjects for others you still need to enrol in person
to check if the subject you plan to take is aviable for online enrolment

enrolment sessions for courses
http://datasearch.uts.edu.au/study/enrol_schedule_autumn2005/schedule.cfm

it would be a good idea to do the time table first to find the subjects which you still haven't done that suit your needs (i'd suggest [if you haven't already] for you to get a standard project sheet from your faculty UPO office or go to 'one stop student admin' http://www.uts.edu.au/onestop/studentadmin/
to find the subjects you are able to take with what ever subjects you have completed already).

once you found the subject(s) which seem reasonable for you, use timetable buildre to find the subjects that have been programmed at suitable times for you. - a bit of trial and error is needed here.

how the new timetable works.
its takes abit of fiddling with, but basically follow each step
specified,
step 7, in your case i would suggest for you to use flat

If I can see my study plan online and can enrol online, do I have to still attend an enrolment session as well? It's so confusing!

Grrr this enrolment procedure is so confusing.... I can't web enrol until 15th of Nov... I have finished uni by then and wanted to go home, but I'm not leaving Sydney until I have enroled in case something has stuffed up.... what a pain.

Also, are we enroling for our subjects for both semesters in 2005 or just first semester?

To answer in a more polite way (=P), this is for continuing UTS students only going into 2005. New 2005 students will enrol after they receive their offers in January.

If you failed a Spring 2004 subject you will notice from 4th January, any subjects that you had already enrolled in for 2005 and required the 'failed' subject as a prerequisite, will have been changed from enrolled back to planned.

If this has happened you will need to choose another subject(s) for your 2005 enrollment in My Student Admin

its still possible to enrol for your spring semester.. up until the closing date for it. which is like a week into the semester.

all you need to do is go into your faculty office and fillout a subject varification form...
and just put it the subjects you want to do for spring...

Note: This broadcast does not apply to Research Students.

Class activity allocation and ?My Subject Activities? timetable will be released on Thursday 13 January 2005.

Following your enrolment into subjects, you were required to nominate a number of preferences for class activities associated with your subjects, or where there was no choice, you were directly allocated to a particular class activity. The resolution of preferences has been undertaken and a computer ?allocation? has now been made to provide you with a personal timetable.

You may now access your personal timetables at My Subject Activities:
http://mysubjects.uts.edu.au/aplus/apstudent

Relevant links
More information about your allocation (or non-allocation) is available at:
http://www.sau.uts.edu.au/enrolment/how_to/MySubjectActivities.html

Help in using My Subject Activities is available at:

In other words, your class allocations are now available and you have until January 21st to make any changes. You can only change into a class that isn't full. People are swapping around all the time, so keep checking back if you really want a particular class.

You can also add/delete any subjects from My Student Admin if you need to.
