I think one of the reasons behind why a lot of people hate HSC Chemistry is due to the level of rote learning involved.
I'm detecting anomalous levels of NaCl

Rote-learning is literally the only thing InteGrand is consistently salty about lol

Even though the only things I really roted were stuff like advantages of ethanol as a fuel

What about colours for ion tests (and the ion tests themselves)? Wouldn't they have needed rote learning?

Whenever a practical was involved the whole concept of rote got drained out of me.

If it won't affect school/It's okay if it affects school, then good idea

I quit my part-time after 2.5 years during the summer holidays, because I knew it would legit impede on my studying lol
That and I didn't want to regret anything
But work is always useful (money+resume), and becomes exponentially harder to get as you get older

Omg - this thread reached 1000 likes last night!

It's the morning of my ancient and modern tests, wooo :spin: I'm legit excited.

I've only done my legal test to date, and at my school we won't find out our rank until after half yearlies are done.

I actually asked a girl in my ancient history a question that I already knew the answer to, and she intentionally told me the wrong answer (she definitely knew because when the teacher asked what her response was, she gave the right answer). Feeling threatened much?

Today's aim: trump that witch.

Out of curiosity, do you's study the morning of a test? or do you relax?

I went to bed at 8.30 last night, and spent around 15 minutes reading notes for each ah & m.

I feel like when I study in the lead up, I get worked up and don't perform as well.
