Idk about y'all but I really don't wanna go back tmrw
Lol. I only have my language HSC this year. So another year to stick around :/the only reasons i want to go back to school is because i want my jersey and because my productivity levels are gonna spike, i've been feeling really demotivated the past week
omg i also accelerated a language hsc!! good luck!Lol. I only have my language HSC this year. So another year to stick around :/
literally same my new timetable is wackHelp I just got my new timetable and I have a day with 5 study periods and only 1 actual period
Read exemplars and then take what’s good about themWant to cry, I kept asking my teacher to give me some sort of way to improve my essay because I really wanted to improve my English assessment last term and after giving me some feedback she pretty much told me that “it’s good now there’s nothing you need to change” when she knows full well what I’m aiming for, and then I get hit with a 16/20 and only 5 words of negative feedback
Like I know it’s the mark I deserve but it’s really hard to improve at English when I can’t get proper feedback, it just feels so helpless
stressful already, I stuffed up my year 11 results and don't know if I can redeem my grades in time for uni. But, we're copingNgl only just realised this forum exists, I figured it’d be nice to be able to talk here instead of the “has anyone started their prelims yet?” thread
How has everyone’s first week of year 12 been?
27 hahaHow many ppl are in ur y12 cohort??
Ours is so quite small this year
i've got around ~200. it was a bit of a shock when i first entered high school, i came from a school where each grade had less than 50 kidsHow many ppl are in ur y12 cohort??
Ours is so quite small this year
Thanks I guess that’s a good idea, it’s still a bit frustrating to not get much feedback thoughRead exemplars and then take what’s good about them
~160! We used to have just under 200 but a fair few people have dropped outHow many ppl are in ur y12 cohort??

Good luck, I’m sure you can make a comeback - I’ve heard lots of stories of people who have!stressful already, I stuffed up my year 11 results and don't know if I can redeem my grades in time for uni. But, we're coping
I think it’s pretty hard to give good feedback for English. Because u would just say rephrase this etc, maybe include this (maybe not include it because you might ruin something else). as much as u change an already written essay the underlying structure/ideas/way u write will largely keep your mark in the same region. Make sure ur ideas are solid and learn from exemplars and u shud be fine. Thanks I guess that’s a good idea, it’s still a bit frustrating to not get much feedback though

a word of advice regarding the common module, based on the feedback I've received and the feedback I've seen given to my peers as well as words from my teacher, you need to consistently link back to terms of the rubric, which in turn are meant to provide us new insights about humans and human experiences. it's not enough to just talk about how this idea affects another and how they all act paradoxically or inconsistently, you need to talk about why the composer did that in their text and what they wanted to let us know about who we are as humans and our experiencesThanks I’ll try that
