co2 emissions. also extraction causes environmental damage even with remediation (w remediation it still causes habitat loss and environmental fragmentation, the restored land is less ecologically complex and cant support as many environmental services or act as habitat for as many species as it did previously). we have alternatives so the environmental harm of fossil fuel extraction just isnt justifiable imo. does all mining need to stop? no, i think resources such as aluminum, uranium, iron, copper and cobalt are necessary enough that it justifies the environmental harm, just not fossil fuels.

you also have issues with ground water pollution and heavy metal contamination. even if you dont care about the environment, these are both issues which impact us directly. polluted ground water means that farmers cant use water for their pastures, and often groundwater is the only source of water for rural communities. heavy metal contamination damages ur organs and can kill u

Fuck the extreme far-right Liberal Party with their backwards and divisive agenda. At the same time, the radical far-left Greens hate Australia Day, our great flag and take offence whenever someone simply wants to celebrate our great country. Both the Coalition and Greens focus too much on Israel and Gaza than local affairs.

I think the centre to centre-left Albanese Govt has done a good job and it will take time for their achievements to be realised. Fuck Peter Dutton. Dump Dutton from Dickson.

I think the blue is a good homage to the waters around Australia, but yeah I do agree that we need the green and gold in there.
