late to the convo but does anyone do any/all of these subjects? :
- english adv
- math 3u
- physics + chem
- economics
- software engineering (accel)

i'd love to create a mini discord server, especially for the new subject SE (no longer SDD) and hear from anyone else accelerating it :) or even just to hang/chat or play games LOL
English advanced, chemistry.

Like Socialism said, it's rather active here so I'm not sure if a Discord server is worthwhile apart from whether you want somewhere more private. I dunno, I don't do software. Hoping it goes well.

A day late but @enlargedthroat and everyone else in the convo...yap session ahead.
I finished grade 4 ameb piano last year. Basically finished grade 5 (trinity) except the exam isnt till October, so I've started grade 6. I've almost finished grade 2 theory (ameb/my teacher).
I've got a really small pinky (like 4cm long), so I cant play a bunch of classical pieces... T-T like rachmaninoff is out the question lmao.
My dream is to one day play Winters Wind by Chopin or like any Chopin pieces in general... I love romantic era artists yk.
I've been playing since was 8 however was too big of a wuss to start grades until I was in yr 8, which I beat myself up for on the occasional. I could've been pro game bro :(
Romantic scene pieces are one of my favourites, especially the ones made by slavic artists. You should continue piano even though you are older.

Bro imagine attacking me because i actually have the ability to play what i like? I may not be at the same level as you at piano but that don't mean that i'm not good- And there are some really fun modern day piano pieces that are really cool that i personally enjoy- i have my fair share of classical and romantic pieces to play but i like a range.
Modern pieces are so trash, Ive barely seen any good ones. People like you should be banned from piano.

I wish I had that sort of motivation but if i were to get to that level i would have to practice like 4 hrs a day for the next 10 years to get somewhat close to a concert pianst level
my teacher promised to make me one...so i'm just trusting him 🤣 🤣
he's actuallyy soo good

what piano pieces should i try learning cause I need some ideas
Anything by chopin and I'm in love with you

I wouldn't go baroque (cuz most of these pieces were written on harpsichord)or classical, it feels too constricted for me. So if not chopin, something after the romantic classical period.
If you're looking for elevator music type, then do sad blue jazz pieces ykwim

Ok- your opinion not mine- like i said i play a range- like at the moment i'm playing June- Barcarolle (i don't think i spelt that right) by Tchaikovsky but also i'm learning how to play Silver Springs by fleetwood mac for a music assessment-
I like a range- as i said- and you might just get your wish because my hand decided to inflame and lose circulation again that it was painful to play single chords so yayyy.

Bro Chopin is absolutely MAJESTIC when it comes to composing i swear- whenever i need to study and i'm bored of my playlist i put him and other Romantic composers on.
My music teacher legit told me i couldn't be a concert pianist because there is no piano in a concert band- so i left band lmao because she tried to put me on percussion 😋
