Mb grade 9 rcm is grade 8 abrsm, I did abrsm in Syria and rcm in Russia then switched back to abrsm. Theres not a significant difference either way.also since when did they add a grade 9 for abrsm (yea i did abrsm back at sri lanka)

I'm actually done with piano- I am going to finish hopefully half way through this year but the only thing i'll actually do is teach and play fun songs- P.S. I have multiple issues with my body and hands/ forearms which is making it harder for me to play D:Mb grade 9 rcm is grade 8 abrsm, I did abrsm in Syria and rcm in Russia then switched back to abrsm. I wish i could tell you- but i played this one piece at the beginning of last year for an assessment and it caused stabbing pain and inflammation in a tendon, and instead of it just healing in a couple weeks it affected every other tendon and it came up in my other hand somehow, so now certain pieces are hard to play and i tire out easily compared to a couple years ago when i had good stamina whilst playing. And i've been to physio and allat because it became unbearable and they literally said oh well- that was last year- and now they are blaming it on the fact that one of my fingers is weak (which in my opinion it isn't) even though it is in multiple fingers and they can't really do anything for me unless other symptoms start to come up more frequently than they have been. How are you grade 8 and have issues with your hands to play?
Playing with a hurt finger isnt uncommon so that shouldnt stop you. Plus piano is the most beautiful instrument.I wish i could tell you- but i played this one piece at the beginning of last year for an assessment and it caused stabbing pain and inflammation in a tendon, and instead of it just healing in a couple weeks it affected every other tendon and it came up in my other hand somehow, so now certain pieces are hard to play and i tire out easily compared to a couple years ago when i had good stamina whilst playing. It didn't stop me but it's been a year and it isn't really healing- it's kinda getting worse and affecting daily tasks.Playing with a hurt finger isnt uncommon so that shouldnt stop you. Plus piano is the most beautiful instrument.
So youre that kind of player...It didn't stop me but it's been a year and it isn't really healing- it's kinda getting worse and affecting daily tasks.
Piano is beautiful sure- but i'm also trying to learn other instruments like guitar, drums, and vocals because i feel you can do more with them in terms of modern day pieces/songs.
I've been playing piano for 11 years and my brother plays guitar so i thought i'd learn. I still play piano and it's my main instrument but i like being flexible- like a jack of all trades. So youre that kind of player...
Jack of all trades, master of none?I've been playing piano for 11 years and my brother plays guitar so i thought i'd learn. I still play piano and it's my main instrument but i like being flexible- like a jack of all trades.
People who are genuinely good at piano dont play much modern music.HUH WDYM?![]()
I did my grade 7 piano last yr too and started working on grade 8 but I stopped cause I wasn’t bothered to finish. Especially cause of the theory. I hate it so much7 in ameb (but i stopped like two years ago in exams, still play piano tho for fun/perform current songs)
I play classical and have for a few years but i'm in a Rock band so i need to know both sides- It's also just what i find more entertaining as more people (that i'm surrounded by) know more modern songs than classical.People who are genuinely good at piano dont play much modern music.
