Last year or in history? Nothing is beating 0 b6 english standard IN RECORDED HISTORY

same bruh my school is ass at eng std we have like 1 b6 across 5 years, but somehow for eng adv we always consistently have like 25+ b6 for it idk how my school does ts. Oh for math ext 1 and 2 those stats are consistent

cuz like lowk kids in eng adv try harder yk, and most selective schools do eng adv so like lowk scaling pushes it up. Most of the kids in eng std in my school are eshays who just dont try, most kids in eng adv for my school try a lot

Well yeah if everyone flops then that's going to have the same effect as removing the question but the few people who get the marks will have major benefits from that

no but i'd rather have everyone flop in this q bc i think i did average to well, but honestly u never know their next move the whole faculty is genuinely so evil and with the responses esp, if u miss a word or whatever, mark OFF

i got cooked in the action potential section so i hope the last section carries me

Thats completely normal the only way I get around that is writing way more than required

and that's where they also will say 'write more concise responses'...

for internals, we're cooked anyway but lowkey i think moderation will carry us if top10 get b6 in hsc

They don't do that in hsc..... They look for the information, not how you display it. That's why for comparisons you can use tables and stuff instead of writing it all as a paragraph

no but i get it why they say that, if you're concise you can clearly state your points without fluffing, so u also don't waste time

Somehow not a problem though, I usually always manage to finish with a really good chunk of time left to sit there and ponder

yh im of course generalising not targeting anyone, but this is the reason my teacher said its harder for like people who try in eng std to get a b6 they literally get dragged down by others not their fault or cuz their effort is lacking

I hate them, get them deported to studdies istg. Thats one thing my school did right and still we arent seeing a net improvement. Everyone is so unbothered, like does it escape them that getting less than 80 in standard kinda butchers your atar......

bruh deadass without eshays my school could easily make top 80 schools in the state. Literally the top end of my school is so cracked, last year alone we had like 7 99 ATAR students

yh this the main reason i didnt do standard, cuz lowk coursework in eng adv is not THAT much harder but the scaling benefits are legit so much better its not even close in the scaling

BRO WTH HOW ARENT U GUYS..... My schools [125, 150] and we had 2 99.5+ atar students and like 9 90+ in total thats so ass (as a whole for the grade)

bro im telling u last year we had like 40-50 kids get above 90 ATAR but these eshays bro they just dont even TRY like its so annoying they drag the avg down so MUCH. Also another reason my school does poorly overall is cuz many people choose like sciences and higher levels of math and english when they genuinely shouldn't be doing it. Like im not being a jerk or anything, but there is this one girl in my ext 2 math class and she can't even solve basic 3u math induction or do ext trig identities like genuinely u should NOT be doing ext 2

Main change is the texts, most other things stay pretty similar
