I just have very heavy subjects and English takes up a disproportionately large amount of time for me to prepare for, only for me land a 17/20
omg unless u go to a selective or good school do not drop unless u really need to
im in standard and half my cohort dgaf about school, ik theyre prob gonna drag everyone down. u rlly dont wanna be in a pool of people who were forced to pick standard when (from what im hearing) youre quite good at eng

ONLY 85%???

girl that's gen so good you're almost b6
broo but this is like from y10, yr 11 i'd say I'm so cooked, I haven't been able to memorize my pieces as I keep getting told by my teacher to fix it, and now that I have finalized it, I am yet to memorise it. not only that but I need to prepare to adapt it, and prepare reflections(which I am so buns at) and there is a 50:50 mark split with the creative and reflection. Anddd to add onto that the exams Tuesday, but I got 5 my subjects in the same week so ig that's on my time management but still fml

from what ive heard from my friends in adv, the workload contrast isnt so stark between that and std. but do as you please

id recommend staying longer in order to allow yourself to adapt to the change in expectations to see if you truly believe that this isnt for u:angel: 10 to 11 is a big jump regardless of what subjects you choose to do and its normal to not like change immediately, in addition to the fact that these concepts are fairly new to us. wishing u luck

is 12 units really that much for HSC? im kinda jealous of the kids who do 8 units, having accelerated 2 units
currently doing 12 units rn
10 units may be a lil risky unless you're confident you will get your goal atar

12 units def makes you more busier, but its about time management
if you think you can't deal w/ 12 units in hsc and you're not doing too well in one subject and it will negatively affect your atar, then drop

wait it out until yr12 at least term 1 or 2 and see what you like and what you don't like

ig its because assignments are usless when it comes to the hsc. But in every faculty they have said its compulsory to have one assignment, even maths so idk what the deal
ive only ever had hand ins in addition to exams

my school retired sole assessment tasks for loads of subjects in junior yrs cos everyone used ai. ik for y10 geo they had to allow 70% ai since the cohorts percentages were too high
