I was meant to be writing but i've given up and am just chatting with you all nowAnyways why are you up enjoying your days of sleep as they are limited
I started mondayofftopic but has everyone's schools already started? mine started 2 weeks ago
did it actually?? Thats lucky for me then, I swapped out of physics for chem on the first day cause they put me in the wrong classFunny thing is that physics became more of a time crush whilst chemistry became easier in the 2025 syllabus
WHAT.My parents swapped out multimedia for physics on the first day for me.
It's because module 4(or what used to be the wreck of boring module 4) got collapsed and condensed into module 3
hmm okay, well I'm glad it worked out for you!Initially I felt some resentment, but physics is way better than what multimedia could ever be. And I wouldn't be going anywhere doing both multimedia and art as majors are a really big pain.
okay so fun story, I never did Drama for junior school, I only joined it this year because music at my school wasn't worth perusing due to the teacher I got.One question is there a hsc for drama? edit: how is drama assessed for hsc?
My sister is in year 9 and she wanted to know whether its worth continuing or not
'Final work' is a loose term, her year may have adjustments as the syllabus adjustsokay so fun story, I never did Drama for junior school, I only joined it this year because music at my school wasn't worth perusing due to the teacher I got.
Drama is assessed through a few different aspects, I presume that if she's asking to 'continue' she'd have more experience than I do in the first place. There are theory aspects and performance aspects, plus a 'major work' at the end of year 12 for the HSC.
I'll list my assessments in order so she gets an example of what someone is doing right now.
TERM 1 (y11) - MONOLOGUES : my teacher is pushing our stage-fright out by making us learn (I think minimum 3 minute??) monologues for the assessment
TERM 2 (y11) - ESSAYS : Typical Drama essay, critical study of a performance, you'll be expected to analyse it to an extent
TERM 3 (y11) - AUSTRALIAN THEATRE + PLAYBUILDING : my teacher is giving us a brief rundown of Australian Theatre before year 12, and then we will be split into groups for playbuilding
---------
year 12 includes playbuilding, essays, and a final work orientated around personal interest. These can include monologues, duologies, script writing, playbuilding, and in my case: filmmaking
Awesome! I left my drama course book in my locker unfortunately, so this is going off of memory. I'll confirm what i've said on monday when I have access to my assessments without digging to the corners of the internetIm pretty sure this syllabus undergoes no major changes till after 2030 so its no problem
no worries at allThanks so much! I thought drama was a throwaway subject like visual design so thankfully not
Now I just need to somehow make her not choose music and drama both in year 11![]()
Australia lmfaoooooo, you have to buy them and I share with my brother, its the size of an A4 book plus some, not that gloriousYou have a locker? Are you in america or australia
