How do you guys rate it? Came out on Thursday, and is based on the MIT Blackjack Team that used card counting to take an advantage over the house.

As a movie, I thought it was a solid effort. Yeah, its no Oceans 11/12/13, and the "twist" at the end was way too predictable.
I knew the girl had the money in her bag the moment they seperated, and Kevin Spaceys character was always gonna get ass raped by Laurence Fishburne's character in the end.

I take my hat off to anyone who's smart enough to card count and play undetected. Funny thing is, I know a guy who formerly was involved in the underground casino game, and the movies portrayal wasnt that far off.

Also, two of the guys originally involved in the team played cameo roles in the movie. Bill Kaplan appears in the underground casino, whilst Jeff Ma and Henry Houh appeared as dealers.

I've seen at least two documentaries on the people this movie is based on so I can't be fucked watching the actual movie.

Card counting isn't really that difficult and its legal if you're doing it in your head. The problem is that it still only gives you a slight advantage (1-2%) so you still need a large bankroll.

If you think hes cute watch Across The Universe. In that he has a british accent and sings all the time (as if you could get any better than that)!

I preferred the book (Bringing Down the House) this was loosely based on to the movie. They dramatised it a bit too much for me

Pretty good movie,

Bought the book on my way to Melbourne and have to say it was a bit better explained in the book

It was an okay-ish movie. The ending was a bit cliche for me though.

'The Dark Knight' is going to be SOOOOO much better. :D
