Hello everyone!

We have an assessment task at the moment and we have to write out own mulitple choice and 5 marks questions as if we were the Board of Studies writing the questions. One multiple choice question on the sub topic The religious dimension in human history requires us to use a stimulus material. A 5 mark question on the sub topic New religious expressions also requires a stimulus material.

This material can be cartoons, quotes, graphs, pictures, etc.
I am having trouble finding stimulus material.
If anyone has any idea where I could find some that would me most appreciated.

Cheers Hannah

Hey Hannah rachel here i am looking for sources too are you only doing sources for new religious expression cause i am doing mine for new religious expression for multiple choice and for the religious dimension in human history for five mark. Ah if looking for stats go to Australian Bureau of Statistics or adherents.com really good if your looking for quotes type in really specific to which sub topic your looking for and write quotes thats how i found mine cause philosophers and preachers make comments about increases in religious expressions and why that is so good luck. Hope this helps, any queries just give us a call.

http://www.religionfacts.com/ may be of help as well

Try using an advanced google images search for images though it is a difficult thing to search for images as sources for M/C as you have to know your terms in advance...try using religious dimension etc ad see what comes up past the first page......

If you have access to old text books (form the pre 2001 course), I would suggest looking at them.

religioustolerance.org may be worth looking at as well

There are a few cartoon stock websites out there that you may get lucky on.

Political/satire cartoons from newspapers are good as well...most artists have their own sites once you work out who they are!

What a strange assignment.

Mind posting it up (with the marking criteria) so I can have a look at it

Hey Snapperhead,
Thanks for your post. Here is the task and the 17-20 band's criteria.

Task:
Students will construct:
The HSC Studies of religion study guide
Four mulitpule choice questions (plus deconstruction of each question)
Two short answer questions (plus a full answer response and deconstruction of each question.

Scaffold:
Multiple Choice
1. design question
2. explain the inclusion of each answer option
3. answer the question
One of your 2 multiple choice questions must use stimulus material
You must create one question for each subheading: i.e
One from the religious dimension in human history
one from new religious expression
one from non religious worldviews
one from the difference between religious and non religious worldviews
Two short answer questions
1. must have BOS glossary verb and answered fully
2. write and answer one 5 mark question from the religious dimension in human history OR new religious expression
3. Write and answer one 5 mark question USING STIMULUS MATERIALfrom non religious worldviews OR difference between religious and non religious worldviews

Criteria:
  • Provides coherent and logical questions and answers, thoroughly covering all pertinent syllabus dot points
  • coherently and effectively communicates comples info, which demonstrates a high degree of understanding of the content area
  • consistently applies terminology and concepts related to studies or religion throughout the task
That was our assignment (it was due today) worth 10% of our 2 Unit course. I apoligise for the bad spelling and punctuation as i was in a rush.
Hope you find it interesting

Thankyou for that...interesting task for just 10% !!

Maybe when you are finished/get the assignment back, you can convince others to post up their questions (and yours as well) as M/C questions for this section are a new concept and Im sure other users would love to have some extra stimulus/study questions

If thats OK with you that is!

Hey! I certainly will post my questions up if they get a good enough mark! And i am sure others will do so also if i ask them. I will keep you posted. I think we will get the assessment back no later than friday this week. Depends on how lazy my teacher is feeling.
You don't do physics by any chance do you? Know any places where i can find animations of semiconductors...or how i can create my own using power point?
Cheers
Hannah
