I know i might sound like a winger
i have posted it on the forum before
But i still can't get over it and i want a second opionion

here i go
My last 3 unit assesement had a Cartesian projectile motion
question 1(a) derive the equation for the the projectiles Componets

the answer was suppose to be deriving.
But i simply wrote
x=30tcos@
y=.5gt2+30sin@t

i did not derive it by a=0 v= x= ....
i know what i did was incorrect but the 1(a) was out of 6/25
which is 24%. i did not even get one mark for writing out the right answer.

so the question is, should I at least get marks for it or should I just get over it(which i cant)

where can i get expert opinion on this

Unless it is explicity stated that you can use the equations of motion without derivation, DERIVE THEM - It only takes about 30 seconds extra and it is not worth the risk to simply state them without proof.

Not only get over it, you should learn from your mistake. No marks should be given as you probably did not answer the question i.e. derive them. Correct answers is not sufficient without showing the necessary steps. Hint: do that in the HSC exam will get you no where, so beware.

Firstly I don't think that question should be worth 6 marks!!!
You won't get those large amount of marks in the HSC... I guess it would be worth 2 or 3 marks there.

Secondly, with 6 marks allocated for that question, you should definitely get 1 mark at the least!!!

That's my strong opinion.
